Cabell County Youth Empowerment Program
Michelle Perdue, Student Support Specialist
The Cabell County Youth Empowerment Program and Huntington Housing Authority would also like to announce Michelle Perdue has been rehired to replace Kelly Plantz as the new Youth Support Specialist and we welcome her to this position. Michelle is the former YouthBuild Program Coordinator for Huntington Housing Authority. Kelly has taken a new job with a pharmaceutical company in Barboursville. Welcome back Michelle and best of luck to Kelly - we will certainly miss you.
On September 4th Cierra Stubblefied, Misty Smith and Michael Moles took the Official Practice Test to be eligible for the GED Exam.
All three passed the test with exceptional scores. Cierra and Misty will take the GED Exam on October 22nd and October 23rd. Michael Moles took his GED Exam on September 15th and will have the results in a few days. We wish our participants the best of luck!
The Cabell County Youth Empowerment Program is proud to announce a new class started on September 22nd with 15 new youth eager to participate and learn leadership development, employment skills and GED instruction.
CCYEP targets youth 16-21 years of age who have dropped out of school, or are a teen parent, lack employable skills or who desire to go to college or enter the military.
